Well, she mentioned having a boyfriend a long time ago... after breaking up with him she went lesbian.

...granted, for a 'lesbian', she doesn't seem too against sex with certain guys, but I think it's more abandonment and being used issues. Plus... just generally being crap with real attachment. I think she doesn't want to get burned again.

Don't know. Of course, you might be able to get someone else to take the penalty for you... or suggest something other than altering you.

Since you can't believe that she had parents, remember? I know you didn't mean it that way, but saying that someone might have been abandoned, or other such theories, tend to suggest that someone was discarded because they were/are worthless. Needless to say, she was hurt... not to mention it reminded her of those that aren't with her anymore.

Mmm... I do too. Shiyoko... can be smart, she just chooses some foolish things from her background. Who knows, maybe Yasu is similar.

But the more important thing is not to suggest someone was abandoned. It shoots straight at their self worth. It also suggests a certain level of 'worthlessness'... Which I realize you didn't mean, but again, it hurt her.
