(no subject)

So. I baked a chocolate cake.

[identity profile] icarus-attack.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 07:27 pm (UTC)(link)
....chocolate cake?

[identity profile] icarus-attack.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
...uh.

...why?

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh?

Any occasion?

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
None really.

I... just baked a cake. With chocolate.

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it isn't ham, but it does smell nice.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
...it's not like I want ham all the time! ;.;

Besides, it's a chocolate cake lovingly prepared by my wonderful wife... it's like a prelude to Valentine's day.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
...We didn't celebrate Valentines last year?

Well, in Western culture it's a day where lovers do something special for their significant other... typically the male for the female.

In Japan, it's a day that females give chocolate to various people... 'obligation chocolate' to coworkers, 'friend chocolate' to friends, and 'lovers chocolate' to people they're either lovers with, or they're crushing on.

It's celebrated on Feb. 14, and in Japan, there's a matching day on Mar. 14, called "White Day", where males reciprocate to females who gave them chocolate.

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
I... forget?

... Ah. ... Uh. Huh.

I hope you enjoy the cake then?

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
...sadly, so do I. Seems like we had a date, though... but I don't really remember.

... tl;dr?

I will. ...though, I suppose I shouldn't eat it all myself... I imagine you baked it for the family, not me, specifically.

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
See? We don't remember.

No. Just... huh.

Yes. The family. Though, I may need to put a spiral tail on your ass if you woof down the whole thing, dear.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-04 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
I enjoy every day with you, so it's hard to remember a specific one.

Hey now, I'm not that bad. ;.;

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
If all you eat is Pig, Erland, you'll be one.

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
I hope it isn't all you eat. I don't want a puddle of mud my husband wades in all day in my house. I won't stand for it.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
Please. I'd rather lay in bed all day.

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
Not allowed to do that either, Mister.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
...why not? It'd be nice so long as you and maybe some of our other girls are with me~

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
Then the house falls apart, no money to spend on the girls, and to spend on our eventual children.

You sir, are going to have a lot of mouths to feed.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 04:06 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, okay, geeze.

Though, I was actually wondering about that the other night... how to work that. If I should have a job, or just make gold or something and exchange it for cash as needed.

Then there's the issue of feeding ourselves if Earth gets destroyed... again...

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
Build a farm and get robots?

Any other alternate earths you could shop at?

... Well, do you want a job?

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
That'd probably be a good idea. I don't suppose you'd feel up to making robots for that purpose, would you?

...probably. It'd be a lot of trial and error, though.

I guess I don't really see the point of it. If anything, I'd start my own business... but it'd make as much sense to set up the farming here, and just work on things like that, for us.

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
I might be able to. But they'd be metal cases, not Setsu.

Oh?

Well, there are some commodities on Earth that the girls can't get.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
That's fine. They just need to be able to farm well enough on their own. They don't need to be sentient or anything... in fact, I'd advise against it.

Humans won't be the dominant race on every world, nor will Earth exist in a number of universes. Then, there's the issue of how stable the world is, even if humans are at the top, and have the same sorts of food that we do.

True. But a number of them can be manufactured easily enough... it's mostly intellectual properties that we'd lack.

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
Done.

Look for ones close to our Earth?

The girls would probably prefer "Authentic" products.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm... Should we try for ranching as well? We do have lots of room for grass. Enough fences, and we could just about let the livestock roam free.

A number of those didn't escape annihilation. Duel spirit worlds are possible, and easy to get to, but... somewhat questionable.

...I don't really know why you girls have a hang-up about that. It's functionally identical... hell, sometimes better. Why is something that was created by chance better?

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps, but keep it in such a way we can't smell it.

Questionable how?

Because the company made it.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 06:11 am (UTC)(link)
...oo... that'd be tricky... it'd almost be better to have a side world just for the animals, then.

Questionable like lutefisk, century eggs, or Surströmming.

... That doesn't make sense.

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
Trust me, the girls would complain about the stink.

Lutefisk looks good. Ugh, Century Egg sounds disgusting. I see why at the Herring.

It makes sense. People like things that are "Real". Are made by who hold the copyright to it.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I can understand that. Hence why we'd want someplace separated.

I'd rather not have that much lye in my system. ...I'd rather not have any lye in my system. And yes, you can see what I mean.

Intellectual property I can understand, but jewelry? Machinery? All easily reproduced.

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 06:48 am (UTC)(link)
Righto.

Yes I can.

I mostly meant videogames and toys and maybe books.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 06:55 am (UTC)(link)
...oh. Yeah, games, books, movies, music, and the like can't really be reproduced. Toys, maybe. Depends on if they're based on an I.P., or generic.

[identity profile] bibeakerbabe.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
That was my argument, really.

[identity profile] pureplainpatron.livejournal.com 2009-02-05 08:08 am (UTC)(link)
Right.

I think Benihime is going to cook for us tomorrow... I was thinking we could rent a movie for curling up with Umu afterward.. How's that sound?
